April Stephenson

Paralegal (Family)

April works within our Family department in Blackburn as a Paralegal after previously working as a File Handler Assistant at Keoghs LLP as well as a Paralegal.

Her previous duties have included;

  • Diarising Court Orders, Part36 Offers, client instructions, and relevant involvement information,
  • Liaising with internal and external counsel for Trials, Hearings, Conferences,
  • Liaising with clients,
  • Liaising with internal legal team,

As well as many others.

Whilst here at Watson Ramsbottom, April will be Assisting the Family team with their work load, preparing necessary case documents, conducting research, carrying out administrative tasks, holding discussions with clients and assisting in the delivery of legal advice.

April has a number of accreditations to boast including an LLB in Law with Criminology at the University of Salford where she obtained a 2:1 classification & a BTEC in Business & Law at Blackburn College where she obtained a D*D*.

Outside of the office, April enjoys sports such as paddleboarding, rugby, hockey and walking/hiking as well as cooking,baking & DIY projects.

Interesting fact – April has spent a great portion of her life living in Singapore!
