We’re delighted to confirm that Associate Solicitor Michelle Whitaker has attained the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation.
The Law Society awards accreditations to legal practices and solicitors who meet the highest standards of technical expertise and client service in specific areas of law.
The Children Law accreditation recognises particular specialism in issues relating to children, such as adoption, child protection or arrangements for children following social services intervention.
Michelle’s Law Society accreditation is her third specialist accreditation, with her previously having attained Resolution accreditations in both Children Law and Domestic Abuse.
Director and Head of Family Rachel Horman-Brown said: –
“I am extremely proud of Michelle in obtaining the children panel accreditation which is very much deserved. Michelle has worked incredibly hard for me and the Watson Ramsbottom family team since she was at university and I have watched her go from strength to strength in terms of her work. She often deals with the most serious of cases containing harrowing information about how women and children have been abused and she gives every single case her all.
The fact that Michelle can now act on behalf of children who are often the forgotten victims of abuse can only be a good thing for them and I know that she will bring her years of experience working in our domestic abuse department to benefit those children whose voices are too often ignored.”
