About

Elaine has worked in all departments of Her Majesty’s Court Service for 17 years, during that time she moved within different disciplines throughout those years.

Elaine achieved a degree in Accounting and finance  in 1998 and have been working in Divorce and Ancillary Relief cases for 5 years whilst at the Family Court in Blackburn. Previously she worked for the Probation Service, the Magistrate’s court and has a volunteer for children who were abused and had ran away from home, encouraging them to mediate with their families.

During the last three years Elaine was a court clerk to the High court Judge and dealt with the day to day running of the Court room, and making sure the Judge had all the information and paperwork that was needed to proceed with each case, also ensuring that the process with the Barristers and solicitor’s went as smoothly has possible, dealing with Family Law cases can be very acrimonious but if dealt with compassion can make the whole process easier to follow.

During her time at the Courts Elaine dealt with all aspects of Divorce and Financial Ancillary cases, ensuing the correct information was given to clients and always dealt with in the most professional way.

Here at Watson Ramsbottom it is believed that divorce doesn’t have to be acrimonious, mediation is encouraged and we look to achieving the best possible result for the client in the fastest timescale.
